Be Contract Savvy Part 1 - Key Elements of Service Contracts

This is a workshop designed to empower small business owners with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively manage service contracts. It focuses on the key elements of service contracts, highlighting essential clauses and common pitfalls to avoid, ensuring your contracts are both protective and beneficial for your business.

For many business owners, the service contract is the single most important contract they will have. As such, content is specifically tailored to the legal framework and business practices of British Columbia. This ensures that the information is not only interesting but also highly relevant and applicable for BC-based business owners.

Participants are also encouraged to register for Negotiation of Contracts - May 27

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Apply practical contract negotiation skills to build successful businesses.
  • Apply learning to their own business context through case studies and simulations based on real BC business scenarios, enhancing practical understanding.
  • Identify common legal pitfalls to avoid costly mistakes, saving time and resources.
