Have you come up with a name for your business that's clever, catchy and describes the essence of you and your product? You may have just created a trademark! Everything that sets your business apart - its name, product and service name, slogans, logos and even sound produces a brand image that your customers come to know. Learn how registering a trademark can protect your brand identity and set you apart from the competition.
Please note that this session will not be recorded.
Learning Outcomes:
A trademark can help you distinguish your products or services from those of your competitors, and it can also give you a legal weapon to fight against infringement. It's worth the effort to safeguard your brand identity. And with a clear system of brand trademarking, you have peace of mind knowing that your brand name and logo are yours to keep.
Learn about trademarks directly from the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO), a special operating agency of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada. We deliver intellectual property (IP) services in Canada and educate Canadians on how to use IP more effectively.
