Bio: One of the most valuable skills I bring is my ability to take something that might feel intimidating — whether that’s baking, entrepreneurship, or even conversations around mental health — and break it down in a way that’s approachable, human, and engaging. I’ve spent over 20 years in the food industry, including owning my own bakery, but over the past several years, I’ve really leaned into teaching, facilitating, and community building. I love creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and capable — whether that’s a baking class with 60 participants or a workshop on mental health and entrepreneurship. I also bring lived entrepreneurial experience — I understand the realities of navigating uncertainty, pivoting when things don’t go as planned, and creatively solving problems, because I’ve lived that journey myself. That makes me adaptable, resourceful, and deeply empathetic. And layered into that is my training in Mental Health First Aid and Trauma Informed Care, which really informs how I show up in a room — whether I’m teaching, coaching, or facilitating. It’s important to me to create spaces where people feel safe to learn, ask questions, and take risks without fear of judgment. At the core, I’m someone who knows how to connect with people, foster curiosity, and build community. I bring a mix of practical skill, emotional intelligence, and real-world experience — and I think that’s a really valuable combination. I’ve collaborated with organizations like Yale University, CAMH, Rise, Prospect, and Community Futures to share my expertise and shape the future of entrepreneurship. Rooted in trust, integrity, and respect, my approach is focused on providing solutions, support and resources to entrepreneurs.
